Steve Kallan, principal of KALLAN STRATEGIC PARTNERS, is an advisor helping leaders to succeed. With over thirty-five years’ experience in non-profits, businesses and higher education, he leads initiatives in board development, strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, finance, professional development, and information systems. He is particularly effective during periods of start-up, growth and change and has been at the forefront of developing participative work cultures since the 1970s. Steve leads the “Board Ready” training program – part of the effort to strengthen the non-profit sector of the economy of Western North Carolina. He has served in senior operations, board, finance and human resources roles and holds a Masters degree in finance and labor relations.
